Quickly describe the activation. Where was it taking place? Was it part of a larger event (Ex. Super Bowl)? Who attended the event?
I recently worked and activation for one of my favorite brands Emergen-C which took place at the Sweet Auburn Festival in down town Atlanta, GA. Where we sampled Raspberry, Tangy Orange, and Acai Blueberry Emergen-C. The annual event paid homage the the soulful heritage of Atl with great food, merch, and fun. There was also live music with a variety of R and B, Hip Hop and Rap all by talented local performers.
How did the brand ambassador team help or enhance the overall experience for event visitors?
As Brand Ambassadors we were able to bring energy while informing visitors of the nutritional content by giving them a sample they could try on the spot, and a packet for the road. As many of them did not realize this product can be taken every day. Also a series visitors had fond memories of Emergen-C as they believed it had helped them stave of cold and flu, needless to say we were a hit with the turn out that did make it to the event.
What did the event visitors learn from the experience after having spent time at the activation?
During this activation visitors learned that Emergen-C has more Vitamin C as 10 oranges plus key antioxidants, and electrolytes. Also they were informed of the addition of Vitamin D and Zinc the immune Acai Blueberry flavor. And visitors learned that there is a special children’s Emegen-C powder.
What elements of the event experience caused visitors to be initially interested in the activation?
The bright colors, neat fruit characters and welcome attitudes of the Emergen-C team drew visitors, and of course samples of the fizzy goodness that is Emergen-C itself.
What did the presenting brand gain or learn from having a presence at the event?
We learned visitors of the Sweet Auburn Festival either knew about Emergen-C or take it as a supplement on occasion. We collected valuable data via the ipad while encouraging visitors to send emails to friends with the option for free product just by checking out the brand new Emergen-C website. Also Emergen-C had a camera crew come out and shoot on location video with person on the street interviews and testimony’s on the product which would make for a great viral video once its edited.
