Quickly describe the activation. Where was it taking place? Was it part of a larger event (Ex. Super Bowl)? Who attended the event?

Rex Goliath Wingman Program 2013:
Off premise tastings in liquors and select special events across TN.  Motto of the brand is “BOLD and FUN”. They had newer sweeter wines such as a Red Moscato and a strawberry infused Pink Pinot Grigio.  For more classic drinkers there was the gold medal winning Chardonnay and Cabernet Savignon.
We target consumers of all ages and set up a footprint at special events that included photo ops, games, and prizes. We took this wine to places you never thought of such as Titans Tailgate events, College Football games, Music in the Park and even the famous Wine on the River where guest proclaimed “You tent just looks better than the rest”.

How did the brand ambassador team help or enhance the overall experience for event visitors?

We had a customized tablet to print labels for customers wine bottles on the spot. They could choose from one of four layouts and have their own picture taken to be put on the bottle. The photo was also sent digitally with a direct link to share on Facebook.  They could even have Rex the Rooster himself in their photo.

What did the event visitors learn from the experience after having spent time at the activation?

They learned about the 17 different varietals of wine that Rex Goliath has to offer and even had the chance to enter to win a $5,000 Tailgate Party at their home.

What elements of the event experience caused visitors to be initially interested in the activation?

We had a Rooster Mascot that drew customers in as well as 20 foot inflatable wine bottle to place in front of accounts or in near our footprint area.

What did the presenting brand gain or learn from having a presence at the event?

If you let people try wine at point of purchase they are much more likely to try something new. Most people buy a bottle of wine to drink that day.
