Quickly describe the activation. Where was it taking place? Was it part of a larger event (Ex. Super Bowl)? Who attended the event?

GAP along with InStyle Magazine hosted an event at GAP’s store at The Grove in Los Angeles to promote their new denim collection. The collection was designed by Jenn Rogien who is the costume designer for many TV shows including ‘Girls’ and ‘Orange is The New Black’. Jenn was there to answer questions from fans. Guests of the event included GAP, InStyle and Jenn Rogien fans along with many mall visitors who stopped by seeing the event while shopping.

How did the brand ambassador team help or enhance the overall experience for event visitors?

The brand ambassadors were outfitted in the GAP attire. They greeted attendees and helped to gain hype throughout the store about GAP’s raffle for a new outfit from GAP’s NEW Denim collection! The BA’s also collected fan questions for Jenn Rogien to answer during the Q&A session.

What did the event visitors learn from the experience after having spent time at the activation?

After spending time at the event, the visitors learned about the new GAP denim line. They also learned a lot from Jenn as she answered questions about her typical day as a costume designer, what it’s like to work in the industry and her love for GAP jeans!

What elements of the event experience caused visitors to be initially interested in the activation?

As visitors walked past the GAP store at The Grove, they could see lights, InStyle posters, food and music. You couldn’t walk by GAP without noticing that something super cool was taking place that you would want to check out.

What did the presenting brand gain or learn from having a presence at the event?

By putting on the event, GAP teamed up with InStyle and Jenn Rogien. I think all parties involved helped to make it a great event. All brands learned a lot about their ties together and used that to get a great group of people out to the store.
