McDonald’s – Guerrilla Marketing Tour – Connecticut/Western Massachusettes

Quickly describe the activation. Where was it taking place? Was it part of a lrger event (Ex. Super Bowl)? Who attended the event?

This event was a guerrilla marketing tour for McDonalds.  Brand ambassadors drove around in a wrapped vehicle and created buzz about McDonalds by visiting local schools and local events in the Connecticut/ Western Mass area.

How did the brand ambassador team help or enhance the overall experience for event visitors?

The brand ambassador team was able to create buzz over McDonalds new menu items as well as bring energy and excitement to college goers at UConn campus for the new changes at McDonalds.

What did the event visitors learn from the experience after having spent time at the activation?

Visitors learned of the new menu items McDonalds was offering, in addition to its Breakfast any time food items, as well as the Mighty Wings and McWrap.

What elements of the event experience caused visitors to be initially interested in the activation?

My team and I were distributing free meal coupons and other coupons for free items off of the menu.  And we created buzz by driving around in a McDonalds wrapped vehicle.

What did the presenting brand gain or learn from having a presence at the event?

They built a larger clientele.  Customers were able to experience the new items off McDonalds menu for free and hopefully were able to spread the word on how good the product was.
