Event Location: Charlotte Motor Speedway
The activation was for Target at the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the race. Attendees for the event were people attending the race.
We handed out wet wipes and Target coupons to everyone in order to keep their hands clean and clean their children after eating race food. We were in full, bright red Target race jump suits and were very noticeable. Nearly everyone we handed items out to were happy to see us.
They were definitely exposed to the Target brand and reminded of items, such as wet wipes, that Target sells to keep clean throughout the event. They also were given coupons to remind them of Target’s low prices.
Free items we were handing out from massive Target bags slung over our shoulders. Nearly everybody wanted something free and some people even crossed the street to get what we were handing out.
Juan Pablo Montoya (Target car driver) was a relatively new driver and many people had not heard of him. We brought a lot of exposure to his race team, as well as reminding everyone there how cheap and accessible Target is. They most likely learned just how important NASCAR events are, as far as having a massive amount of potential customers all streaming through.
