Event Location: Atlanta, GA
The event took place in Atlanta, GA a week prior to the launch of the Nintendo WiiU. The event was invite only and it gave loyal Nintendo fans a chance to experience the WiiU before anyone else.
The team was there to provide a fun atmosphere for the visitors. Guests would enjoy complimentary snacks while playing various video games for a given time.
The visitors were able to see first hand how the WiiU could be a fun and interactive gaming console that would provide entertainment for the whole family.
Nintendo sent out invitation only emails to their most loyal customers. The event was totally elusive so in a sense the visitors had a “VIP” experience.
The brand was able to get an idea of their clientele and see which types of games interested them most. Every station had a “counter” to see how much activity was happening there. At the end of the activation a report was sent to Nintendo saying which games were most desired.
